For the internet media describing the news of “Postponed life-extending project of submarine as US pausing the technique transition” and “Obstacle in project of self-made submarine as CSBC Corporation, Taiwan lacking of foreign cooperation”, Navy HQ clarified (2nd) that the reported information was groundless and non-fact.

The HQ said the navy force would be preserved as usual and reflect the experiences of operation, maintenance and application to the entire design of the project of new-generation submarine. Also the contract of self-made submarine has been signed by CSBS Corporation, Taiwan along with Navy’s assistance.

The HQ addressed that promoting “self-made submarine” and “self-sufficient national defense” is the core value of Navy which would fulfill the expectation by maintaining the principle of pragmatism to develop new-generation submarine and would appeal to the people for support to reinforce the national defense.
